Valley Prep Field Day 2010

E-mail Print PDF

Field Day: Wednesday, June 9th

Students are to report to their homeroom at the start of school. Following our Flag ceremony (students may wear the Field Day clothes rather than their dress uniform), students will need to head to their "Team Headquarters" for a pep Rally. At approximately 9:00 a.m., everyone will meet on the blacktop to begin Field Day activities. At 12:00 p.m., (11:30 for PS/Pre-K) students will be dismissed for lunch. Following lunch, 6th through 8th grade will meet on the field for class challenges. At this time, PS-5th grade students will return to their homeroom teachers for the remainder of the day. Games will end at 2:30, at which time awards will be handed out.

Students will need to bring a water bottle and a small, non-refrigerated snack to eat mid-morning. Please make sure to send this snack in a sealed bag and Label both items with the student's name. Appropriate athletic attire should be worn; i.e. athletic shoes, shorts as well as our official 2010 VPS Field day t-shirt that students will receive on the morning of Field Day. Everyone is encouraged to wear clothing/accessories (i.e. hair ribbons, wristbands, etc.) representing their team color. Students should also be prepared to get a bit wet, so please plan accordingly, including a towel and dry clothes if you would like to change after the games. Please make sure your child comes to school with plenty of sunscreen on!!

Please note there will be a $15 "Field day" charge for your student's t-shirt and field day lunch. Lunch will be provided for all students by partner's pantry and will include burgers, chips, fruit, dessert and a drink. Please let the office know by Friday 6/4 if you will need to order a vegetarian meal.

Questions? Please email Miss Stevens.
We look forward to a great day!
