DEA Assembly

The DEA assembly for 1st through 8th grade students was coordinated as part of Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week was started in memory of DEA Agent Kiki Camarena who was killed in Mexico. The DEA Riverside District Office puts on this program for schools and organizations to talk to students about the dangers of drugs. The assembly included DEA Federal Agents from the Riverside Office and California Highway Patrol including Hero, a K-9 trained to detect drugs.

 

Fire Prevention Week

The Redlands Fire Department came to Valley Prep School on October 7th for an assembly in honor of Fire Prevention Week (October 5 - 9th). They offered a 30 minute program for our Preschool through 3rd grade students, highlighting the importance of fire safety, setting up an emergency action plan with your family and when it is appropriate to call 911.
