After School Programs
In addition to the Valley Prep curriculum that focuses on developing the whole child/student, we offer After School programs in a variety of interest areas. These programs are available to Valley Prep students at a nominal additional cost to parents.
Program offerings are planned throughout the year and run for several weeks in the afternoon after school. Some of the programs offered include:
Instrumental Band Program (trumpet, trombone, saxophone, clarinet, flute), taught by Andrew Guevarra. This is a year-round program.
Piano Program, taught by Mrs. Yang Steinke
Strings (violin) Program, taught by Mrs. Yang Steinke
Lions’ Chorus Program, taught by Mrs. Jane Davis
Introduction to Mandarin Chinese, taught by Mrs. Yang Steinke (offered periodically)
Homework Club, supervised by Valley Prep teachers
Mad Scientists’ Club, taught by Mrs. Erin Reiss - 4th grade teacher
Chess Club, led by Mrs. Chanda Lowe - Valley Prep parent
4G Gardening Club, led by Mrs. Hazel Whittaker - Science Teacher
Lions' Computer Club, taught by Mrs. Carrie Willis - Technology Director (offered periodically)
