Valley Preparatory School seeks to enroll students who will benefit from its values, purposes, and programs, and who will contribute to its varied community life through their attitude towards others, their sense of responsibility, and their active interest in learning.  Applicants for admission are evaluated to determine their general aptitudes and their ability and/or readiness to work within a structured program at a level comparable to that of the students already enrolled.

Valley Preparatory School prides itself on our wonderful diversity and seeks to admit students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all rights and privileges, programs, and activities accorded or made available to students at the school.  It does not discriminated based on race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship programs, and athletic or other school-administered programs.

The admissions process begins at all grade levels with the completion of the application for admission form, accompanied by a $100.00 non-refundable fee for evaluation/testing.

Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten:  To be eligible for Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten a child must be at least three (3) and four (4) years of age respectively, as well as toilet trained at the time of admission.  For Kindergarten, eligible students must be a minimum of five (5) years old by October 1st of the year they are admitted.

1.   Complete, and return, the Application for Admission form.
2.   Schedule an appointment for a tour, with the Office of Admissions.
3.   Schedule a classroom visit and evaluation of your child.
4.   Submit one teacher recommendation if applicable.

Grades 1 through 8:

1.   Complete, and return, the Application for Admission form.
2.   Schedule an appointment with the Office of Admissions.
3.   Schedule a classroom visit and evaluation of your child.
4.   Submit a minimum of one, if possible two, Requests for Transcript and School Evaluation forms.

After all of the various materials and procedures have been completed, the admissions committee will review all pertinent information and make a recommendation for placement.

In accordance with Valley Preparatory School policy, all new students must submit a negative Tuberculosis (TB) test result or chest x-ray before the first day of attendance.
